Conclusion
The reason why this website, along with its thorough documentation, needed to exist is not solely the clearing of a record of untruths, half-truths and misrepresentations directed at myself and my husband —although those are important in and of themselves. It is also due to her audience size and therefore the capacity that she has to use it for harm, intentionally or not, and who will most likely be affected (and has been affected) by it.
As someone who understands the notion of journalistic and investigative integrity, I am aware that no claim should ever be uttered without backing documentation. The matter of Liana Kerzner's behavior is a topic that spans a decade —at least— and one whose details are obfuscated for many reasons. The prodigious amount of 'content' she produces every week ensures that potential transgressions are buried by the ever-renewing tide of videos, but the messages are absorbed by the audience and remembered even if they can't remember when she may have delivered it.
Tracing the evidence of her words, shifting context and contradictions requires an exacting attention to detail and the ability to recall the sequence of events older than a week, which is something that has diminished nowadays due to the deleterious effects of social media on attention span and cognitive faculties. But, by virtue of Asher's excellent memory and investigative skills, and my own research skills, every one of the points that are being made in this conclusion can be verified by perusing this website and seeing instance after instance of the behavior come to life in different situations, but following a discernible throughline and pattern.
Despite Dr. Bourrie's statement that our claims refer to non-events and Kerzner's energetic recontextualization of our objections, I have now demonstrated my basis for calling Kerzner unethical— such as her violation of her mental health client's actual mental health history. Based on the behavior documented in these pages, we have little reassurance that this behavior isn't still occurring and that the mental health details of people who displease her are not also being disseminated to individuals such as Bobby Callaway, Aileyn, Per and others in her community.
Kerzner's behavior seems to hint towards a grandiose concept of self. It's not simply a statement of being right in a situation but, in her observable behavior, a broader pattern of seeing herself as uniquely insightful (in her constant assertion of the motives, thoughts and emotions of others), morally elevated (in her frequent trumpeting of principles and integrity that she has demonstrably violated without acknowledgement), and especially wronged in ways that justify exceptional treatment (as demonstrated by a litany of grievances, treasured and maintained and shown off).
It is evident by Kerzner's framing that she asserts her interpretation of events is inherently more valid than others’, even in the face of contradictory evidence and the actual words of others.
This is coupled with a chronic need for validation and control of perception. More than the desire to be believed, it is enacted into a need to shape how others see reality so that her image remains intact. When that image is threatened, the response tends to escalate toward reasserting control, often through reframing, blame-shifting, or discrediting others but never actually acknowledging the substance of the matter.
Another major component is lack of genuine empathy where other people’s perspectives are consistently subordinated to maintaining her own narrative. This often takes the shape of disregarding the impact of her actions while freely invoking her own distress as justification.
Entitlement and asymmetry are also recurring patterns. She operates under different rules for herself that do not apply to others. What she does is justified, contextualized, or excused, while similar behavior from others is condemned or pathologized. This asymmetry tends to persist across situations, not just in one conflict. Example: Kerzner's publishing of her own chat logs is justified, but Asher's publishing was a betrayal, even if it was done in response to the presentation of a manipulated narrative.
Despite her statements to the contrary, there is also a distressingly low tolerance for criticism or contradiction, as was crystal clear in Vagabond's case but it is by no means the only incident (indeed, it is the very reason she often brings up grievances and criticism up on her radio show and Youtube channels to use as fodder, often straw-manning the contents of the critique.) Criticism isn’t engaged with— Kerzner immediately moves to neutralize, reframe and invalidate. It is behavior geared towards protecting self-image instead of adapting to new information.
Finally, there’s interpersonal pattern that repeats. One of the reasons for why I needed to examine and catalogue only a small number of the Kerzner conflicts that came before, is because you see similar dynamics play out across multiple relationships or conflicts. Friendship or idealization followed by devaluation, a forceful narrative rewriting after breakdowns accompanied by recurring claims of being uniquely wronged, and a visible trail of conflicts that share the same structure even if differing in unique details.
We have also laid out our reasons for why we have stated that Kerzner is not a safe individual to handle the mental health concerns of neurodivergent individuals, whose lives can be fraught with interpersonal upheavals and vulnerabilities that have proven to be unique triggers for Kerzner's worst behavior, rendering her not simply unqualified but also objectively risky as a counselor to that particular demographic.
We ourselves have had conversations with individuals discarded by Kerzner, several of whom are neurodivergent, who have expressed continued emotional distress at her treatment of them. At certain points they struggled with suicidal ideation directly related to Kerzner's portrayal of them, and the fear that she may yet again speak of them. This is a feeling echoed by Song in her video. The length and intensity of her smear campaigns have made a marked impact in my husband, whose own medical team has expressed serious worry about his health and the impact Kerzner's repeated lying and demonization have had on him.
These are discarded individuals. Individuals for whom society has very little regard— the mentally ill, whom Kerzner exploits to service her image, but said image has proven to be simply a mirage when the true work of the mental health counselor, ally and advocate comes calling. It is not in the times when sessions go well and there is no conflict that a competent mental health worker distinguishes herself, but in the thorny moments, in the contentious moments and even the contentious professional ruptures, which professionals are required to handle with grace and empathy— and the licensed ones are required to do so by law.
Kerzner, instead, viciously reaches for personal and private information to share with which she can hurt those troubled individuals who are upset at her because, for whatever reason, she proved inadequate to the task. This is not compassion, allyship or advocacy, but abject cruelty. And cruelty has no place in the mental health field — and neither does Kerzner.
It is my personal opinion, based on these observations and experiences, that Kerzner is a patently dangerous and unqualified individual who should not be anywhere near the mental health field— unlicensed or otherwise. Her maladaptive behavior regarding conflict, her obsession with controlling the narrative around her image, her propensity for lying coupled with her vindictiveness make her an ethically and morally compromised individual who should not have access to vulnerable individuals.
I expect both Kerzners to produce copious amount of ink both physical and digital, and perhaps wave Mark Bourrie once again like an amulet against inauspicious climate, coupled with threats, cajolements and further fabrications that do not match the documented record, and the further disclosure of irrelevant private information for the purpose of causing shame, mortification or perhaps even a mental health crisis of my loved one, in order to divert from the contents of this website.
Such seems to be the Kerzner way, and the only way in which they would prove me wrong would be to act in a way that demonstrates a mature ownership of their mistakes and false narratives. But I am not holding my breath.
Nevertheless, as I have said before, I do not make claims I cannot back up. Asher's exceptional skills have made much of the evidence presented here possible. The conclusion is very simple and straightforward:
1. Asher Was Not Transphobic
Asher's exchange with Poppy demonstrates that he was not transphobic. His criticism of Poppy directly referenced her behavior, and gave ample examples of that. Since her rupture with Poppy, Kerzner has vaguely hinted in her videos that a 'behavior' of an individual that is poorly-disguised as Poppy was the cause of the ending of her friendship with them— a behavior that had been reported before, and which Kerzner alluded the individual was afraid Kerzner would report her over.
Report... to whom? And for what reason?
I am confident in asserting that Kerzner terminated the game under false pretenses, by centering Asher's mental health as the primary culprit. Kerzner vilifies and denigrates the very man whose insight helped her understand the woman over whom she would throw Asher under the bus. Kerzner stated that she became friends with Poppy because of Asher's insight on BPD (this can be seen in the Telegram chats.)
2. We Both Bore Responsibility
Kerzner has claimed that Asher's mental health crises were the only cause for the delay, because he was 'abusing me', according to Kerzner. All faults and delays in the project, she claims, came from that.
Kerzner has lied by omission by leaving out the fact that she herself would complain about Steven's crises, and the delays that he caused her. Kerzner also did not speak transparently and inform the backers of Steven's unauthorized taking of funds he had no right to acquire.
At the end of the day, Liana and I are both responsible for our mismanagement of our emotions and how we dealt with the crises at home. We both complained about our husbands' crises, we both were emotionally worn down at several times, and we both had moments of despondency.
Kerzner has erased an entire half of the narrative in order to service her image and to create a very specific scapegoat.
3. We Weren't "Covering Our Tracks"
We deleted our Telegram history with Kerzner, not for the purpose of 'covering our tracks' as she has implied, but in order to deny access to an abuser. All telegram chats and their respective files were exported before they were deleted. We are in possession of them, as it is demonstrated by Asher publishing his entire Telegram history with Kerzner in order to disprove the many allegations she has made about their friendship.
Should Kerzner decide to shift the lies in my direction and imply that I was abusive to her, I will have no recourse but to publish my history as well— a history that will not paint Kerzner handling her family environment in any more favorable a light than it does me.
I, however, have owned up to my own lack of regulation and communication in my household. Kerzner has not, for it would require the stripping away of her image. It would, therefore, be incredibly unwise for Kerzner to continue this pattern.
3. She Is Not Safe
Over the last sixteen months, the amount of evidence we have accumulated on Kerzner's actions is staggering. It is almost too much to consider, and too much to want to believe, but nevertheless it exists. Her sustained year-plus-long campaign against Asher has been illuminating in showing how many of those other stories told about her may, in fact, be true after all. And it is frightening.
We are speaking of a woman who has lied about an individual with Borderline Personality Disorder in order to save face, dismissed him, devalued him, besmirched him and treated him as less-than-human at times. A woman who lied about their friendship, implying that he was abusive to her 'day in and day out.' And, when that at-risk individual published the entirety of their five year friendship to prove that her allegations were false, she called him a terrible person, below-mediocre, a bully and a brat and a bad person. She has overwritten his motives, his history, their friendship, his character and his honesty to her audience. She has, in short, thoroughly and completely defamed him. Kerzner bites back, in a Patreon video, that those chats were not meant for 'public consumption', and yet this is months after she discussed private recordings with her server that were not meant for public consumption and were shared privately. Despite the fact that she disclosed private details not meant for public consumption in her twitter tirade and in Discord. Despite the fact that she centered our domestic life in the cancellation video with details that were not for public consumption, for the sake of salvaging her image.
And this is without going into depth about all of the details of her allegedly-confidential LianaKares clients she shares that were not meant for 'public consumption,' up to and including their conversations.
All of this, for the sake of saving face and maintaining a faultless image. And Kerzner is not ignorant of the effects that her actions can have on neurodivergent individuals, as can be seen in this tweet from January of 2024:
Asher's Telegram chats are damning to Kerzner, because it shows that the confrontations, the pushbacks, the abusive behavior towards her never happened. They are her damnation, for they are evidence of all the lies she has told in order to make Asher abhorrent to others. That she has incited reactions in him through her false narratives and used those reactions to reinforce the image she has painted of him.
Kerzner is very aware that her continuation of this will most likely end up in Asher's suicide.
She does not care.
In fact, if one thing comes through in all of her chats, and throughout her history when examined in its whole, it is a seeping, seething and sneering contempt for the mentally ill. It echoes every time in her favorite phrase — "profoundly mentally ill"— which she has used to paint not only my husband, but her mother-in-law. She ridicules Emily Schooley's alleged Histrionic Personality Disorder by painting a lurid and ridiculous image of a young actress all but contorting in sexual ecstasy because the red light of a camera blinked in her direction and mocks what may have been a psychotic break that, allegedly, had her defecating in a hallway. She shares the private conversations of her LianaKares clients with friends and speaks of their mental and family histories with derision, and airs ex-clients in front of her server like a firing squad, to fire holes in someone's story of abuse. It is all summed up in her phrase, "better they feel it than I" when speaking about her critics.
It is my opinion, based on all of this, that Liana Kerzner is a predator. She predates on the mentally ill the same way that Giancarlo Vanzzini, the KiwiFarmer, predates on LGBTQ youth by writing queer-friendly YA novels while moonlighting as a KiwiFarm harasser. And, just like it was with Vanzzini, once a relization of this kind is reached, it cannot be hidden nor walked away from. It needs to be put in the public sphere — especially since Canada does not require any licensing nor oversight for peer counselors. Behaviors like Kerzner's is the reason why some U.S. States are passing laws requiring licensing for peer counseling.
Until Canada comes to such a realization, one can only hope that this information will serve some use, and perhaps serve as an example of why lack of regulation in this front can be absolutely catastrophic for the health and well-being of those who are most vulnerable.
Final Word
This site has documented a non-exhaustive list of her representations, distortions, and outright fabrications. Based on the evidence presented here, it is my opinion that Liana Kerzner is a habitual liar.
It has also shown multiple instances in which Kerzner has sought to cause intentional emotional distress to several individuals in multiple forms— directly or indirectly, and often wielding the size of her audience as her weapon of choice. When those individuals have come forth with evidence, Kerzner has implied that the fact that they had evidence at all demonstrates that they were planning things to go that way from the beginning and that therefore she was set-up, erasing the many reasons for why at-risk individuals have a tendency to keep documentation. Instead, she implies, the abused were planning to get abused all along. Based on all of these instances, it is my opinion that Liana Kerzner is cruel, and an abuser.
It has shown a significant number of individuals who have been hurt, damaged or whose characters have been assassinated by Kerzner. It also shows credible evidence that Kerzner employs the services of Mark Bourrie to intimidate and silence individuals who grow too loud or too visible in their criticism of her actions. Based on that, it is my opinion that Liana Kerzner is a bully.
There are multiple examples throughout the document of Kerzner violating her own rules, stated beliefs and principles, or guidelines. She openly and loudly chastises individuals for doing things that she herself takes part in, or encourages in others. There are multiple examples of Kerzner treating her own claimed diagnosis as sacrosanct, as well as the diagnoses of those allied with her— but she will treat those same conditions with derision when found in those who displease her, telegraphing that her respect for the 'dignity' of the mentally ill is only directly proportional in how useful they are to her. It is because of this that I am of the opinion that Liana Kerzner is a hypocrite and a stigmatizer.
Likewise, the reader by now has seen multiple instances of Kerzner violating ethical boundaries insofar as the handling and reporting of client information in a mental health counseling position. It is because of this that I am of the opinion that Liana Kerzner is a deeply unethical person.
In the end, I must give Liana Kerzner her dues, because she was right about one thing: Asher and I both made a mistake, but it is not the mistake she describes.
We made a mistake that many have made before, and have come to regret: We trusted Liana Kerzner.
This website has made an effort to restore the narrative that Kerzner has erased— which Kerzner herself has attempted to obscure. The rest have been lies by commission, and omission, perpetrated by Kerzner. No more needs to be said on that, except, perhaps, to show note from Kerzner herself:
A Legacy
I have endeavored to provide as thorough a trail of evidence for the points that have been made here. I have endeavored to remain as objective as possible, but at times it is impossible to completely keep my emotions from the writing of the record. Especially after witnessing what Kerzner does, and has done.
Asher's Telegram records do not show an unhinged, harassing abuser as she alleged in the episode "Being Understood... and Other Stories." Nothing in the entirety of the record matches what Kerzner has portrayed to her viewers and her audience, about their friendship, Asher's demeanor, and many things... and events that didn't happen.
I can understand if Kerzner had issues with Asher's mental health, which considerably worsened over the years because of the effects of his treatment-resistant depression, despite his best efforts. I can even understand if she wanted to end the friendship based on those issues. I can also understand if, at some point, she felt she could not do so cleanly because there was a project linking us professionally.
However, instead of approaching the situation honestly and speaking plainly as she often claims she does, this was never in evidence. Much of the seething resentment and anger that she portrays in her Discord, her pejorative comments and condescending judgements of both of us were absent from everyday discourse.
The Asher that comes through in Kerzner's Telegram chats is someone who clearly looks up to Liana, someone who exchanged hugs and support, went into long conversations with her and shared funny, ridiculous things. Never once did he explode on her, never once did he yell at her— and even in the 'Very Ugly Fight', his worst offense was to return, in a cold and non-violent way, a modicum of the lack of empathy she displayed. And then, only at the very end.
That Asher yelled at me, that I yelled back, that we had long, protracted fights because for years we were talking past each other and not communicating? That is our business, and it is none of Kerzner's goddamned business. Nevertheless, she inserted herself as the target of Asher's rage when that was never the case. And, if in her quest to portray herself as a moral crusader by centering our domestic dysfunction as the centerpiece of the reasons for the cancellation — private information that, in her own turn or phrase, wasn't meant for 'public consumption'— then she should realize that by that very token, the affairs of her marriage have now become my business, and by extension the business of the Kickstarter backers and the public at large.
She is not exempt from the standards she arbitrarily chooses to apply.
After watching the suffering she has perpetrated on my husband for the last sixteen months, and the suffering she has perpetrated on others, I have quickly run out of restraints I may have had in taking action in regards to Kerzner's marriage and the false image she has actively portrayed— the restraint that has prevent so much of the information on this site from seeing the light of day, hoping against hope that Kerzner would do the right thing. The samples I have placed in the accountability section are very few, comparative to the entire body of chats that I have, and they were chosen to demonstrate my point without perpetrating the same kind of base indignity that Kerzner subjected herself to in acting like a common muck-raker.
Kerzner should be thankful for our restraint. However, as I have already said, should she reward that restraint with more escalation and accusations portraying the history of our friendship in a false light, then I will simply release all material to immediately put truth to the lie. Just like Asher, I will not allow an abuser to lie about me. I do not care what vulnerable parts of me I expose to open scrutiny in the process.
And I do speak of her as an abuser, because all of her tactics have proven to be nothing more than that. In fact, not only is she an abuser, but she is also the potential enabler of other abusers. Because now that we have lived through this, we are now incredibly skeptical of any allegation of abuse that Liana Kerzner has ever leveled against anyone.
Ever.
Is this safe? Does this mean that there is a very high possibility that there have been people she has genuinely accused of abuse who were, in fact, abusers? Yes.
However, because of her tactics, she has essentially rendered them completely invisible against the backdrop of the very suspicious 'stalker' accounts and the false accusations of stalking against people with genuine grievances.
Liana Kerzner has now, essentially, created the perfect environment for abusers to thrive: nothing is stopping abusers from approaching her victims and portraying themselves as her victim as well. An entire ecosystem of people marked for re-traumatizing, whose predators are now are even harder to identify because the liberal accusations of abuse and stalking that Kerzner tosses around.
And that is the legacy that Liana Kerzner has created for herself.
It is, indeed, not therapy.
